Mission Logs

After starting to run level four missions with Kaltan and Fiach, the idea of mission and operation logs/reports came to mind. I feel as if this could be beneficial to Multiforge and those involved in Multiforge operations, keeping a record of who was in what operation, what ship they were in (for future references and assigning roles), times of the beginning and end of the operation, and the total loot collected from said operation; this could allow for detailed distribution of rewards and notes on who performs best in what roles.
The mission reports document can be found at this link here

Corporations and more!

Over the past weeks as Multiforge has expanded its horizons, I have been thinking about corporations and EVE in general - what makes this game so great? Moreover, what makes the pilots (and corporations composed of said pilots, so awesome? I believe I have answers for both. The first question is easily answered and has probably been answered hundreds of times - the gameplay in EVE Online is, to say the least, superb. The gigantic sandbox universe combined with the extensive skill system allows for individual players to chose their own paths, you aren't set to the guidelines of other games; you could fit a Titan, a group of the largest ships in the game, with a mining laser and mine an asteroid belt or you could take a mining ship, deck it out for combat and go hunting. The game has virtually limitless possibilities all contained within one universe, composed of the same playerbase. Now, for the second question. This is significantly tougher to answer as it is completely based on opinion. The reasons why I, personally, think that the EVE playerbase is so amazing is because there are, again, an infinite amount of niches that someone could fit in to. If you wanted to play the game at a murderously fast rate, you could delve into the combat aspects of the game and spend your entire EVE career in 0.0, or you could want to play the game a bit safer and mine or dive into the industrial side of EVE. This grouping of players into different environments in game not only applies to the actual aspects of the game itself, but it applies to the social side; if someone were to enjoy working solo, they could create their own small corporation and have alternate accounts running, while another person could easily fit into a small corp and love the hell out of it (Im talking to you, Multiforge!), and all the while, there could be someone who enjoys fitting into a massive group of players like Goonswarm. This is what makes EVE great, the gameplay is wonderful, but the players and corporations who inhabit New Eden and give it life are the ones who make the game the masterpiece it is.

Multiforge Mining Operations

Two posts in one day? What is this?!?
Instead of grouping together in a mishmash fleet of ships for exploration under the Security wing of operations, Fiach Kelly, Jack Templeton, Kaltan Dacella, and Oryx Deus were able to use the Orca and several Mining Barges to do some of the first real organized operations under the Mining division of Multiforge. The mission space that the fleet originally warped into was relatively peaceful; only a few Mordus rats taking up residence there that were easily dealt with, after the hostile rats were swiftly taken out, the three Retrievers promptly began to eat away at the large amounts of Pyroxeres ore in the belt, dropping the ore into the Orca's vast cargohold and then continuing to reap the asteroid field within. Not too far into the operation, the massive holds of the Orca's became full with ore, however, this was not a problem; Fiach Kelly, both a Mining and Industrial supervisor, put into use the Miasmus, a renamed Iteron IV purposed for hauling ore. With the Miasmus, Kelly was able to haul significant portions of ore to stations, allowing the fleet to continue about the operations virtually flawlessly. This unimpeded success of the fleet was able to net around 45m at EVE time 03:49, a notion to how Multiforge is expanding its boundaries and increasing its capital.
Nearing 4:00, Jack Templeton came in with a Condor and added an element of chaos to the once peaceful mining operation - he launched an attack on the Orca, dealing a total of 0 damage with the amazing firework display he provided as a celebratory gesture to congradulate Kaltan Dacella on his engagement.
BPC Renting has now been (more or less) implemented! Pick a BPC you would like, ask a Research Supervisor or other corp leader to grab it for you, fill out the information on -this- page, manufacture/copy it, return it, and finally fill out the second bit of information. Ask Kaltan Dacella or Oryx Deus in game for more information.

Multiforge Corps Skill Sheet

Earlier this week, Jack Templeton, the head of Research and an Indy. Specialist, suggested a skill sheet where members could keep track of their skills and organize long term projects. In Jack's words,

"I was chatting with my brother today and he asked if the Corp kept a list of skills that each member has trained. I told him that's a bit too much to keep track of because of the sheer number of skills, but I started thinking. Could we start a Projects spreadsheet with near- and long-term projects and the list of skills that would be necessary for them? We could then sign up for whatever skills we have trained and to what level so that we can minimize, at least for these projects, the amount of crossover. Just a thought at the end of a long day of packing."

So here it is, or at least a rough draft of the skill sheet, how to use it should be included in the document

The first test run of the Multiforge Exploration Fleet (MultEx) was a success! No ships were lost and judging by the positive feedback, everyone had fun - Kaltan Dacella did repairs in his Navitas, a vital asset to our fleet; without him, many more drones and probably a few ships, would have been lost, on frigate combat was Isaac Ross (Darek Aldard) in an Enyo, rushing through the battlefield, making short work of any ships that dared challenge him, and in the scout wing there was Fiach Kelly, another invaluable asset to the MultEx team, leaving no signature unscanned, all of these fine captains were under Oryx Deus, who did combat with Darek and a small amount of logistics. All in all the first run went fairly smoothly, thanks to the awesome members of Multiforge.

Recently, members of Multiforge have been doing exploration and running complexes, etc. These excursions, however, are not always the safest; getting down to structure and nearly dying isn't really the best way to run sites. Now, after a bit of thinking on how to do a successful exploration fleet, I have come up with a rough idea on what to do:
Sentinels
- Primary duties: T1 exploration ships that A. look for and scan down cosmic signatures in space and B. scout systems in order to assess if they are dangerous (Lowsec scouts)
- Auxiliary duties: Pick up salvage from combat sites with either salvage drones or salvager modules
Corpsman
- Primary duties: Provide logistics support to ships that are either in combat or warping out of combat in order to get repairs, the corpsman division will most likely stay at a safespot so that ships that have sustained a notable amount of damage may warp to them and get repaired
- Auxiliary duties: Provide repair to drones and be ancillary ammo suppliers for the fighting ships
Calvary
- Primary duties: Enter combat sites and destroy the rats within the complexes
- Auxiliary duties: Provide defense for the other wings
Guardians
- Primary duties: Provide total defense and anti-player support, not a necessary wing of the fleet
Archaeologists
- Primary duties: Mixed with the Sentinels, this group has the responsibilities of opening data and relic sites

*Remember, this is only a rough idea of what is going to be done, any suggestions made in the comments w
